Endodontic Treatments
Damaged or Dead Nerve Tissue Removal (eg: Root Canal)
Sterilization & Shaping Of Internal Structure. Endodontic treatment is commonly needed when large holes in the teeth have reached the internal nerves. A root canal is one of the most common examples.
Characteristic nerve symptoms include
- A spontaneous dull aching pain especially at night,
- Tenderness on biting, and
- Lingering pain when the tooth is exposed to a hot or cold stimulus.
Endodontic Therapy consists of several stages:
- The removal of damaged or dead nerve tissue from the inside of the tooth.
- The sterilisation and shaping of the internal structure of the tooth.
- The permanent sealing of the now cleaned nerve canals.
- With timely treatment, this procedure is pain-free and has long term results.
We then recommend consistent dental checkups at least every 6 months to keep your teeth and gums as healthy as possible.
